Dance Workshops

In addition to the performances, the Voices Festival offers a selection of workshops that introduce the practices of six more dance artists. These open-level classes provide an alternative way to connect with the artists, hear their artistic voices, explore the issues they care about, and experience some of their working methods. Ekaterina Kaliuzhnaia invites participants to explore deep somatic realms. Tanya Chizhikova and Maya Selezneva propose practicing mutual care through movement. Asya Ashman plays with role-switching in her family workshop. Veronika Tikhonova creates a space for collective fantasies of hyper-reality, while Katya Volkova galvanizes group work into a communal act of empowerment and expression.
